2026 TETL Summer Conference

As screen time concerns continue to shape public conversations about K–12 education, technology leaders need clear, balanced, and practical ways to respond. This session will highlight CoSN’s Screen Time resources and explore how district leaders can reframe the conversation from device minutes to instructional purpose, student well-being, and meaningful learning.

Participants will examine tools and messaging strategies for engaging families, boards, educators, and policymakers in more productive conversations about technology use in schools. The session will also connect these resources to the emerging themes from Purposeful Technology, Powerful Learning: You Can’t Ban Possibility, a national book project focused on districts using technology intentionally to create powerful learning experiences.

Attendees will leave with practical resources and language they can use to lead with nuance, confidence, and clarity.
